Delete your account

Effective date: 12 October 2026

1. What "your account" means in Market One

Market One is a trading terminal from DAY NIGHT SIGNS INC, a technology and software provider. You do not have an account with us. The account you sign in to belongs to your broker, and your broker holds the data about it.

So deleting your account means two things:

  1. Asking your broker to close your trading account and delete your personal data. You can do this from the App or on the web.
  2. Removing what is stored on your phone: saved accounts, sign-in keys and settings. You can do this yourself at any time.

2. Before you ask

A deletion request from the App or your broker's web platform blocks access to your account at once, on every device: you are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again. The request does not send you your money. Before you ask:

  • close your open positions and cancel your pending orders. This is required: the request is refused while you have any;
  • withdraw your remaining balance and wait until any withdrawal in progress is completed;
  • save any statements you want to keep, from your broker's web platform.

Your broker will tell you if anything else must be settled first.

3. Ask from the App

  1. Open Market One and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to the Account tab, then Settings.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the explanation of what happens next. If you wish, write a reason. This is optional.
  5. Tap Request account deletion and confirm.

If you still have open positions or pending orders, the App tells you how many and sends nothing: close or cancel them, then ask again.

Otherwise the App sends your request to your broker straight away. Your broker blocks access to the account at once, on every device, and the App tells you so, then signs you out of that account and removes its sign-in keys from your phone. Market One itself deletes nothing: your broker deletes the account after its checks (section 5).

If you have accounts with more than one broker, repeat these steps for each account you want to delete.

If the App says that your broker's server cannot take the request yet, use one of the ways in section 4.

4. Ask on the web

If you can sign in to your broker's web platform:

  1. Sign in on your broker's website.
  2. Open My Profile, then Security.
  3. Choose Delete my account, read the explanation and confirm.

As in the App, the request is refused while you have open positions or pending orders. Once it is sent, access to your account is blocked at once, on every device, and you are signed out.

If you cannot sign in, or your broker's platform does not offer this:

  • Email your broker's support team from the email address registered with your account. Its contact details are in the App on the Account tab, and on the broker's information page on https://marketone.click.
  • Or write to us at privacy@marketone.click with the subject "Account deletion". Include your broker's name, your login name and the email address registered with your broker. Never send your password. We will pass your request on to your broker within 5 business days and tell you when we have done so.

Requests cannot be made for the shared demonstration accounts that some brokers offer, because those accounts are not personal.

5. What happens next, and when

Step When
Your request reaches your broker At once from the App or the broker's web platform; within 5 business days if you write to us
Access to your account is blocked At once, on every device, when you ask from the App or the broker's web platform
Your broker replies to you and handles the request Within one month of receiving it, or sooner if the law where you live requires it. The law may allow the broker to extend this for complex cases, in which case it must tell you
Your broker deletes the account After its checks: when the request has been confirmed and any balance or open matters are settled
Records the broker must keep Kept, protected, for the period the law requires (section 6), then deleted

Your broker may contact you to confirm that the request really comes from you.

If you change your mind, contact your broker as soon as possible. Until the account is deleted, your broker can restore your access.

6. What your broker may keep, and why

Financial companies must keep some records even after you ask for deletion. Depending on the country where your broker operates, it may have to keep:

  • identity and verification records, under anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing laws;
  • records of trades, deposits, withdrawals and other transactions, under financial-services, accounting and tax laws;
  • communications and complaints, under financial-services rules, and to deal with disputes;
  • anything needed for an open complaint, dispute or legal claim, until it is resolved.

These records are often kept for five years or more after the account is closed, depending on the law that applies to the broker. During that time the broker may use them only for the purposes for which it has to keep them, such as answering a regulator, and not for marketing. Once the period ends, the broker must delete them. Your broker's privacy notice explains its exact retention periods.

Everything your broker is not required to keep should be deleted.

7. Remove your data from your phone

You can do this at any time, with or without a deletion request:

  • Sign out (Account → Settings → Sign out) to remove the sign-in keys for the current account from this phone.
  • Remove a saved account (Account → Settings → Saved accounts) to delete its login name and sign-in keys from your phone.
  • Sign out of all devices to end your sessions everywhere, for example if you have lost a phone.
  • Delete the App. To be sure that no sign-in remains, sign out or remove your saved accounts first.

After a deletion request from the App, the sign-in keys of that account are already removed from your phone. Its login name stays under Saved accounts until you remove it.

8. Data we hold about you

We do not hold your trading account data. If you have written to us, for example for support, we keep that correspondence as described in our Privacy Policy. To have it deleted, write to privacy@marketone.click.
